Santa Monica to Catalina

by Yasser on Jun.23, 2009, under Flying Story

Below are a couple of videos of my flight to Catalina with my friend Tim. We took off from Santa Monica airport. I was a little nervous about landing there at the top of the cliff again but managed it ok. We stayed at Catalina for a mere hour relaxing before deciding to head back to Santa Monica. We found the entire west coast suddenly covered with overcast cloud. I decided to make it back to the mainland, and diverted to Torrance airport to land east of the clouds.
